EIB offers €82.5 million support to Ghana to strengthen the healthcare system
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has offered Ghana €82.5 million to strengthen its healthcare, provision of medical equipment and medicines, under the national COVID-19 Health Response Plan.
This was announced by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Monday, December 13.
In a series of tweets, Mr. Akufo-Addo who paid a working visit to Luxembourg said “I also held a meeting with the President of the European Investment Bank, Dr. Werner Hoyer. I welcomed the €82.5 million support offered to Ghana to strengthen Ghana’s healthcare, provision of medical equipment and medicines, under our national COVID-19 Health Response Plan.”
He added, “The new agreement with Ghana represents the largest national EIB financing for COVID-related health investment in Africa.”
