Former Kotoko, Mark Adu Amofah striker donates sports kits in the US

As part of his avowed commitment towards contributing to football, former player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Mark Adu Amofah has donated sports equipments to a community-based and Veteran Owned sports league for kids’ agency, N Zone Sports for All American in Fayetteville, North Carolina in the United States of America.

The kits include soccer balls, shine guards, gloves, cones and other assorted sports equipments.

 Adu Amofah who is a service member of the US Army and the Chief Executive officer of Unique Sports Talents Worldwide said, “the donation is my contribution to the game here in the US”.

“It is my widow’s mite aimed at pepping the kids up to love soccer” He told myLYBnews.com after the donation.

Adding that, “This N Zone Sports for All American is a Veteran Owned for kids, and as a service member of the US Army, I feel obliged to give them the little my sports consortium can offer to keep the league going”.

“This is the beginning of greater things by way of my support to the game. In face my focus among others is to support young and budding talents in Ghana as well, and so pretty soon we will be in Ghana to make some donations to deprived communities where soccer talents abound” He pointed out.

The player, who also owns a sports-related Non-governmental Organization here in the US, A.A Sports International, called on former footballers who can afford to give back to the game to encourage young players to continue from where they left off.

“We have played our part. It was not easy but with the help of people, coupled with determination and discipline; we made a mark, so I encourage others to emulate our little efforts since these little donations go a long way to make great impact on the game”. He stressed.

Adu Amofah who started his professional football career with Liberty Professionals in Ghana also had stings with Real Sportive before joining Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC.

At his peak he played for number Ghanaian national teams.

“My professional football career took to play in countries like, Israel, Denmark, South Africa, Thailand, and so on before I retired from football and I pray these kids make it that far and beyond” He told this portal.

He is a certified FIFA intermediary and a licensed youth coach in the US.

Michael Cruz displays samples of the kits

Receiving the donation on behalf of N Zone Sports All American, Mr. Michael Cruz, who was full of excitement, expressed profound joy at the gesture.

“We are so elated at your kind gesture” He said.

Adding that, “This is awesome; it would go a long way to help what we do here for these amazing kids”

He praised Mark Adu Amofah for his thoughtfulness and kindheartedness.

“To think of these kinds in the first place is appreciative of you and your team” he said.

He promised to put the kits to good use.

“I can assure you that we would put these wonderful sports kits to very good use to ensure that the kids benefit from them” He said.

Adding that, “N Zone Sports All America is grateful to you and your team for coming to assist”
